LOGLINE: This is a true story. The events depicted took place in Minnesota in 1997. After a date night to see the Oscar-buzzworthy FARGO while it’s still in theaters, a down-on-his-luck man and his married lover are inspired by the film to fake her kidnapping in order to collect a one million dollar ransom from her rich husband.

INDUSTRY HIGHLIGHTS/BIO: Jeremy Svenson is a Los Angeles-based TV writer-producer. He recently sold a broadcast pitch to ABC and previously wrote for Good Sam (CBS), BH90210 (FOX), and Rizzoli & Isles (TNT), as well as the Game of Thrones video game. Having lived half his life in the closet, he’s drawn to stories about otherness and identity across a spectrum of genres from the intimate to the epic.
